(NYT39) FORT BRAGG, N.C. -- Feb. 19, 2003 -- IRAQ-MILITARY-CHILDREN -- Discussions about troop deployments are routine these days at the schools around Fort Bragg, N.C., home to the 82nd Airborne Division and the Special Operations Command. With 6,000 soldiers from the base reported to be deploying to join the war on terrorism, the front pages of the local newspapers are filled with pictures of men and women in desert camouflage saying good-bye to their families. An elementary pupil from a military family at Fort Bragg, N.C., drew this plea to Saddam Hussein. (Cramer Gallimore/The New York Times) , **STORY MOVED Feb. 18, 2003**
