(NYT14) SAN FRANCISCO -- Jan. 22, 2003 -- CIR-CRAIG-SWAP -- In short, where there is supply and demand, Craigslist is often the connection. What began as e-mail to a few San Francisco friends in 1995 is now a site viewed by more than 500,000 visitors a month on Craigslists tailored to 18 cities. The more people who find success, the more people who use the site, the more people who find success. It is a cycle that Craig Newmark, the list's founder, has ridden to an average of seven million page views a day in the Bay Area. Now the sites for Boston, New York and Los Angeles are quickly approaching critical mass as well. Lisa Hummel and Evan Geisinger of San Francisco met through e-mail at Craigslist and were married last year. The couple at their home in San Francisco on Jan. 17, 2003.
