(NYT39) NEW YORK -- Feb. 7, 2003 -- MERRILL-RESIGN -- Merrill Lynch & Co., which has lost about a dozen senior executives in less than two years, announced Friday the resignation of Robert McCann, who has overseen the firm's investment research department. He will be succeeded by Candace Browning, a former stock analyst who has been helping McCann manage the department. McCann in his office in Manhattan on Dec. 4, 2001.
