(NYT25) NEW YORK -- Jan. 5, 2003 -- FINANCIAL-MUSEUM -- The Museum of American Financial History in lower Manhattan celebrates the wonders of capitalism, an exhibit wall is papered with gaily colored stock certificates carrying names like Enron, WorldCom and Imclone Systems. The show is of one-share stock certificates, worth virtually nothing except to collectors. A bust of John D. Rockefeller, surveys the Museum of American Financial History in the basement of his old headquarters on lower Broadway. (Nicole Bengiveno/The New York Times)
