(NYT13) NEW YORK -- Nov. 27, 2002 -- BOYM-DESIGN-4 -- The Boyms are designers. Their projects include furniture, household tools, museum exhibition design and most notoriously, the Buildings of Disaster, nickel miniatures that replicate sites like the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City where terrible events have taken place. At the Boym's home on Manhattan's Lower East Side, a collection of souvenir miniatures, left, inspired their Buildings of Disaster series. Constantin Boym's car-antenna sunburst clock, right, is extendable and retractable. (Fred R. Conrad/The New York Times)
