(NYT15) NEW YORK -- Nov. 8, 2002 -- Adv. for Sun., Nov. 10 -- INVESTING-WITH-SMITHBARNEY -- Hersh Cohen, left, and Scott Glasser, co-managers of the $4.1 billion Smith Barney Appreciation fund, believe that just as the 1974 bear market reached its bottom in the fourth quarter of that year, the current bear market is probably coming to an end, as well. The managers have been busy moving money back into the market, whittling the fund's cash position down to about 5 percent. Cohen and Glassner at their office in New York on November 4, 2002.
