(NYT20) NEW YORK -- Nov. 6, 2002 -- Adv. for Sun., Nov. 10 - THEATER-DEF-POETRY-JAM -- Poetry with hip-hop roots is going centerstage on Broadway. Producing the show "Def Poetry Jam" is Russell Simmons, the hip-hop mogul and chief executive of Rush Communications. The show "Def Poetry Jam" has nine poets presenting their own work was polished in a six-week San Francisco run this summer and opens in the Manhattan's Longacre Theater on Nov. 14.
