(NYT28) NEW YORK -- Feb.13, 2001 -- NY-FASHION -- At the fall 2001 show in New York, designer Marc Jacobs displayed an understanding of the kind of conflicts that can arise when 29-year-old women, unburdened by too much responsibility, choose to live the lives of perpetual children. Jacobs seems to draw his inspiration more from visits to vintage-clothing dealers than from the rhythms of contemporary life. Blouse with trompe l'oeil collar and full A-line skirt shown at Jacobs' fall 2001 show in New York. (Corina Lecca/The New York Times)*LITE
