Marys Meals is a global charity, seeking to provide all school children with a meal at their place of education. Helping children to have a better diet and education. A volunteer offers a free school meal from the UK based NGO Marys Meals in the Yassa J David Christian Academy. Jawajeh village Montserraodo Country, Liberia Tuesday, June 14, 2016. The David Christian Academy was established by Varney Steward, who was a teacher before being displaced during the war and going blind. After the war he was destitute and arrived in the town of Jawajeh in 2009. When he learned there was no school he offered to teach the children. On the first day he sat in a field and taught 5 children ABC, the next day they came back. 7 years later the school has 187 pupils and 6 teachers. 'I came here destitiute, seeking help.
