A photograph taken on January 17, 2024 shows a small selection of the several tonnes of knives handed over, to the British anti knife crime charity Steel Warriors, by the Metropolitan Police, after having been confiscated on the streets of London, and now placed in storage at a facility in London. "Our gyms stand as a powerful metaphor... that a negative can be turned into a positive," said Ben Wintour, as he looked at his outdoor London gym made from seized knives. The gym at a park near Brixton, south London, is one of four in the British capital constructed by the "Steel Warriors" charity, which Wintour and co-founder Pia Fontes established in 2017 to help young people avoid knife crime.
