On a chest X-ray, the differential diagnosis of miliary pattern includes miliary tuberculosis, histoplasmosis, sarcoidosis, pneumonia, bronchoalveolar carcinoma, pulmonary siderosis, and hematogenous metastases from thyroid, kidney, and sarcoma primary cancers.
