(NYT15) POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- July 2, 2002 -- NY-HUDSON-BRIDGE-2 -- No trains have crossed the Poughkeepsie Railroad Bridge, in the Hudson valley about 90 miles north of New York City, since a spectacular fire in 1974. Bill Sepe has spent more than 10 years working toward his dream of turning the Bridge into a walkway, but a court injunction, barring any tours or repairs, has stalled those plans.
