I started taking these photos after about 5 years of studying kingfishers. The difficult of this shots is to create a real setting, I have used a big tank, it is very important for the safety of the kingfisher. height 75 cm, width 40, length 75 cm. for a total of approximately 80 liters of water. sand and gravel on the bottom to avoid banging the beak. both inside and outside the river reeds to simulate the most natural setting possible.
