Woman with 7.9cm tongue becomes Guinness World Record holder for widest clapper
A woman has set a Guinness World Record for having the widest tongue.
Brittany Lacayo’s clapper measures 7.90cm - or 3.11 inches - at its widest point.
Almost the width of a credit card, her tongue is also 2.5cm in length.
It was Brittany’s friend who pointed out her massive tongue, which prompted the attorney to measure it against the previous winners, which came in at 7.3cm.
Stunned with her results, she immediately got in contact with Guinness World Records (GWR).
“When I show people my tongue, most are just shocked and laugh,” Brittany, from Houston, Texas, told What's The Jam.
“I get funny questions but I eat and drink like everyone else.
“And it has never caused me any problems.”
Earlier this month, Brittany went ahead and officially conducted the challenge.
And GWR gave her the title of World’s Widest Tongue.
In a clip shared to the company’s social media accounts, they showed Brittany sticking her tongue out and pressing it down.
She then holds up a big chocolate bar with her tongue before putting a ruler against it to prove its width.
The video was captioned: “Widest tongue (female) 7.9 cm (3.11 in) belonging to Brittany Lacayo.”
It has gathered over 221,000 views, 9,000 likes and hundreds of comments from baffled users.
One person said: “She deserve the biggest mouth too.”
Someone else wrote: “She can capture your destiny with her tongue.”
Another user commented: “Come here legends.”
Someone else said: “Kiss me.”
Allan joked: “She’s tongue tied.”
