Reportage at the New Vision clinic in Nice, France. This clinic is one of the main centres for refractive surgery in France, with cutting-edge technology for all eye laser operations. Treatment of short-sightedness using the Lasik technique. The femtosecond laser creates a corneal flap which is raised so that the deep layers of the cornea are accessible. These layers are then remodeled by the action of the Excimer (EX500 Alcon) laser. Once the cornea has been remodeled, the surgeon lowers the flap and repositions it in its initial place.
