Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother talking with Luciano Pavarotti - still in costume in the Crush bar at the Royal Opera House, Covent garden, London, tonight (Thursday) after attending the Gala performance of Donizetti's "Daughter of the regiment", given in aid of the Royal Opera House Benevolent Fund. Luciano Pavarotti had sung the role of Tonio.
It was the first performance of the opera at Covent garden for 90 years.
