A group of eight astronauts and flight controllers monitor the console activity in the Mission Operations Control Room (MOCR) of the Mission Control Center (MCC) during the Apollo 13 lunar landing mission in this 14 April 1970 file photo. Seated, left to right, are MOCR Guidance Officer Raymond F. Teague; Astronaut Edgar D. Michell, and Astronaut Alan B. Shepard Jr., Standing, left to right, are Scientist-Astronaut Anthony W. England; Astronaut Joe H. Engle; Astronaut Eugene A. Cernan; astronaut Ronald E. Evans and M.P. Frank, a flight controller. Apollo 13's lunar landing plans were scuttled after a Service Module oxygen tank blew up 13 April 1970 during the mission, with astronaut James Lovell Jr famously announcing, "Hey Houston, we've got a problem here." Finally the crew was able to landed safely in the Pacific Ocean, almost four days after the explosion. AFP PHOTO / NASA
