ISTANBUL, TURKIYE - MAY 06: Scientists work on the aspiration of the robe believed to belong to the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II, during its restoration at Sabanci Maturation Institute in Istanbul, Turkiye on May 06, 2024. The robe was first discovered by the heirs of a house in Istanbul's Kadikoy district when the house was being emptied. Thinking that it might be an important artefact, the heirs handed it over to an antique dealer, who realized the importance of the robe and consulted the famous Turkish fashion designer Cemil Ipekci and academicians.
