In one image, a man took shelter from the rain in a 1950s umbrella shop as he donned a mackintosh coat. In another taken on November 24, 1962, two stylish women modelled the latest styles of trench coat including a fake crocodile skin look. These early 20th century photographs have captured a quintessentially British scene ? the rainy day. They would later go into mass production to keep troops warm during World War II.
