A lone automobile sits parked on Bond Street in London, 15 minutes after its owner failed to comply to the new "No-Waiting" traffic law which came into effect this morning, May 27, 1947. To facilitate the uninterrupted flow of London's traffic, the "No-Waiting" rule came into effect along ten miles of roads in the central area between the hours of 11:30 am and 6:00 pm. The law makes it an offense for any driver to stop longer than is necessary to drop off or pick up passengers. It also abolishes the use of horse-drawn vehicles and all vehicles whose speed is below eight-miles-per-hour during busy hours. (AP Photo/WOR)
