RANGOON, BURMA -- January 1989 -- AUNG SAN SUU KYI -- Aung San Suu Kyi interviewed at the home of her late mother Daw Khin Kyi. She had returned to Burma to care for her ailing mother and was swept to the front of Burmese democratic resistance to the regime of U Ne Win.
