(FILES) A file photo dating back to the mid-1960s shows Egypt's film star of the late 1950s and 1960s, Nadia Lotfi, who picked up her stage name after a character from one of the novels of Egyptian author Ihsan Abdel Qudoos, popular for tackling women's issues. - Lotfi, whose real name is Paola Mohammad, died at the age of 83 in Cairo on February 4, 2020 following recent illness. Known for her role in Shady Abdel Salam's classic, Al-Moumia (The Mummy), Lotfi took several daring roles in films directed by Egypt's leading film makes and based on scripts by the country's most prominent authors through the 1970s before retiring.
