Kenya has 36 percent of giraffe population in Africa and the population has decreased by some 67 percent since the 1970's mainly by pouching. In December 2016, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) had classified giraffes as "vulnerable" in the Red List. (Photo by Yasuyoshi CHIBA / AFP)
