In a photo provided by the City of New York Department of Correction, Gregory Kuczinski, deputy commissioner of the Correction Department's Investigation Division. Kuczinski and his subordinates were accused of spying on city investigators as they conducted undercover anti-corruption operations at Rikers Island jail complex. New York City officials on May 8, 2017, ordered that Kuczinski be removed from his position and placed on modified duty, a spokesman for Mayor Bill de Blasio said.
