Cypriots living in Greece were given a chance to take part in the Greek Orthodox Church???s plebiscite. Residents on the island, a British crown colony, began voting on Jan. 15, 1950 in the unofficial plebiscite on the union of Cyprus with Greece. Voting ended yesterday, with Cypriots living in Athens streaming to the cathedral where special services were held before the voting. Shown in photo are some of the thousands of Cypriots who crowded the churches all over Greece to cast their votes. According to unofficial reports from Cyprus, more than 85 percent of the island???s voting population voted in favor of ??sunion.???
