A Bangladeshi soldier serving as a Peacekeeper in Haiti helps contain Haitians protesting the lack of new jobs outside a base known as Camp Democracy in Port-au-Prince, April 4, 1995. Nearly 7,000 soldiers from more than 30 countries are on their first week on the job in Haiti after being handed command of the mission from a U.S.-led force, which had been in Haiti for over six months. Haitians line up outside the base each morning to apply for work, but today became more vocal with demands for the creation of new jobs. Unemployment in Haiti runs about 70 percent.
