Ben Lupica, Princeton University student, was brought into the Bronx office of District Attorney Samuel J. Foley for questioning, Oct. 3, 1934. Lupica claimed to have seen Bruno Richard Hauptmann, under indictment as the extortioner of $50,000 in ransom money from Col. Charles A. Lindbergh, in an automobile near Hopewell, N.J., with a ladder on the side of the car. The Lindbergh child was kidnapped from the family???s Hopewell home on March 1, 1932. (AP Photo)
