AP Historical Hard Drive 2008
The Giants missed a great chance to score in the second inning of the second game when they had two men on and no outs on Oct. 4, 1933. Here's the general view. Ott is on second Kiddo Davis on first and Travis Jackson at bat. Jackson bunted out, however, then Gus Mancuso and Blondy Ryan both ground out to retire the side. The farthest the Giants got to a score in that inning was third base, where Mel Ott rested after Jackson's bunt. (AP Photo)
