Former President William Howard Taft at the wedding of his daughter Helen Taft to Frederick Johnson Manning, an instructor in history at Yale University, was celebrated at Murray Bay, Canada, on July 15, 1920. The Tafts are occupying a Summer home at Murray Bay. The bride's gown is white taffeta draped with old Brussels lace, and she carried a bouquet of white sweet peas and white roses. Edith Morgan of Murray Bay, was the maid of honor and the bride's only attendant. Masters William H. Taft, 2nd, and Robert Taft, young nephews of the bride, served as train bearers.
