The crew of Philippine Airlines flight 434, led by its captain Eduardo Reyes, center, being interviewed, safely landed a Boeing 747 in Okinawa, Japan, after an explosion inside its cabin, answers questions from the media shortly upon arrival Monday, Dec. 12, 1994 at Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The 20 crewmembers were widely praised by some of the 273 passengers aboard the flight to Tokyo for acting calmly and safely landing the aircraft.
