Police quell demonstration in Bombay, native police headed by British officers, putting down a demonstration of Nationalists in front of the Municipal Building, Bombay, India, July 12, when members of the Nationalist party, in defiance of police ban, tried to stage a sympathetic demonstration for 18 troopers of the Gharwall native regiment, who mutinied at Peshawar when ordered to charge a Gandhi procession.
