Libby Prison, a three-story brick warehouse, is seen in Richmond, Va. in April 1865. Displacing a tobacco company, the prison opened in 1861 during the American Civil War and was used for Union officers. In 1864, Union prisoners were moved to another location and Confederate military criminals were held here. In 1889 the building was moved to Chicago where it was opened to the public as the Libby Prison War Museum. (AP Photo/Alexander Gardner)
