An airplane, developed by Waldo Waterman, veteran pilot, to meet specifications of the Department of Commerce for a plane for private-owners with limited pocketbook and flying experience, was unveiled for newspapermen in Los Angeles, July 24, 1935. The tailless plane, with Waterman, has a top speed of 110 miles an hour. Cruising range is 350 miles. It makes 13? miles to the gallon of Gasoline speed is 40 mile an hour. (AP Photo)
