I remember walking into his atelier, between the mountains of fabrics and dresses, and thinking: ?u2018if only these walls could talk.?u2019 Before I knew it, I was sitting at his dinner table, between Ala?u00efa and his dog Dine Dine speaking nearly fluent French. This was something I?u2019d never done so well before ?u2014 I credit the adrenaline and the sheer amazement of what I was experiencing. I floated through dinner and back into the atelier where I tried on dress after dress for the entire atelier. He gave me the privilege of opening his final two couture shows in 2011 and 2017.
