He stated to the press that the four men arrested last night had attended his mosque but were not active members. James Cromitie, David Williams and Onta Williams, three of four suspects in a plot to bomb synagogues in the Bronx and shoot down military planes at an air base in Upstate New York were arrested on Wednesday night. According to New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, the suspects were petty criminals who appeared to be acting alone, not in concert with any terrorist organization, the New York City police commissioner said Thursday.
