(NYT66) GHENT, WVA -- January 31, 2007 -- WVA-BLAST -- Federal workers combed the wreckage of a West Virginia convenience store in Ghent on Wednesday, January 31, 2007. Four lives were lost in an explosion on Tuesday that leveled the Flat Top Little General Store about a mile away. The blast, fueled by a propane leak, was so powerful it sent a fireball hundreds of feet into the air and registered on seismographs at Virginia Tech, more than 50 miles away. (Jon C.
