(NYT12) WOKING, England -- Jan. 24, 2007 -- CLOTHES-CLIMATE-CHANGE-5 -- Josephine Copeman, left, 50, and her daughter Jo Jo Copeman, 21, outside the Primark store in Woking, England, Dec. 5, 2006, were shopping for presents for friends, but ended up loaded with clothes for themselves. They purchased boots, a cardigan, a festive blouse, and a long silver coat with faux fur trim, which cost L12 but looks like a million bucks. "If it falls apart, you just toss it away!" says Jo Jo, proudly wearing her purchase. Environmentally, that is more and more of a problem. (Jonathan Player/The New York Times)
