(NYT103) KIFANGONDO, Angola -- June 15, 2006 -- ANGOLA-CHOLERA-3 -- Tanker trucks are filled with water pumped from the filthy Bengo River, June 6, 2006 near Kifangondo. After filling up, the trucks take the dirty water to customers in Luanda's slums. Those areas in the Angolan capital are now the center of one of the worst cholera epidemics to strike Africa in nearly a decade sickening 43,000 Angolans and killing more than 1,600 since it began in February.
