Geoghegan, whose podcasts include movie reviews, started with a modest home studio and began adding more sophisticated and expensive equipment in Newport Beach, Calif., in October 2005. A growing number of people are creating their own podcasts. Entry into this form of broadcasting is open to anyone who owns a computer.
