(NYT22) NAPLES, Fla. -- Oct. 25, 2005 -- WILMA-2 -- National Guard troops distribute ice and bottled water to residents in Naples, Fla., on Tuesday, oct. 25, 2005. Hurricane Wilma began weakening as it tracked northeastward into the Atlantic Ocean today, but only after thrashing neighborhoods on both of South Florida's coasts, shattering high-rise windows, pushing seawater over much of the Florida Keys and knocking out power to an estimated 3.4 million homes and businesses.
