Nine years ago, terrorists detonated a Ryder truck filled with 1,200 pounds of explosives in the basement of the trade center killing five men and a pregnant woman. A Manhattan jury said Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005 that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey was negligent in safeguarding the World Trade Center before the first terror attack on the twin towers, the 1993 bombing that killed six people and injured 1,000.
