(NYT61) DUNSHAUGHLIN, Ireland -- Jan. 30, 2005 -- IRELAND-ROADS-2 -- Motorists in Dunshaughlin, Ireland, Jan. 10, 2005. The Hill of Tara, Ireland, a 6,000-year-old sacred site that holds the graves of 140 kings is now a placid place surrounded by rolling fields in County Meath north of Dublin. A planned new highway, designed to unsnarl traffic in Dunshaughlin and other congested spots would pass within 1.5 miles of the hill. (Derek Speirs/The New York Times)
