(NYT38) NEW YORK -- Feb. 20, 2005 -- AFRICA-U.S.-IMMIG-2 -- Abdou Diop, a Senegalese immigrant, in his shop, the Senegalese Fashion Center in the borough of Brooklyn, N.Y., Feb. 18, 2005. For the first time, more blacks are coming to the United States from Africa than during the entire slave trade. New York State draws the most -- Nigeria and Ghana are now among the top 20 sources of immigrants to New York City -- although many have also moved to metropolitan Washington, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston and Houston.
