(NYT18) SAN DIEGO -- June 3, 2004 -- THEME-PARK-THRILLS-2 -- Visitors to SeaWorld in San Diego make their to the "Journey to Atlantis'' ride, May 30, 2004. In the "anything-you-can-do-I-can-do-better" competition among the country's major amusement parks, the owners of Sea World in San Diego are convinced they have come up with the hot new ride of 2004: "Journey to Atlantis'' -- part steel roller-coaster, part water ride -- in which passengers board Greek fishing boats for a "mystifying voyage" that tells the tale of Atlantis through simulated tremors and floods and includes a face-to-face meeting with dolphins.
