(NYT25) NEW YORK -- Oct. 28, 2003 -- NY-HEADMASTER-ARREST -- Thomas E. Tinker, the second in command at the Trevor Day School in Manhattan, arrived at his office at 6:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, and was greeted by a Westchester County detective with a search warrant. The head of the school for 25 years, John H. Dexter, had been arrested at his home in Tarrytown on charges of sending indecent messages intended for under-age girls over the Internet, Tinker was told.
