(NYT19) NEW YORK -- Sept. 30, 2003 -- NY-THEATER-SOLD -- Since 1998, the old Studio 54 disco has been home to the fictional Kit Kat Club, setting of the Roundabout Theater Company's award winning production of "Cabaret." This summer, Allied Partners, a real estate investment and financing company, sold the theater space, which is a separate entity from the 16-story office building above it, to Roundabout, ensuring that it will remain a Broadway playhouse. The exterior of the building in Midtown Manhattan in July 2003. (James Estrin/The New York Times)
