Mumbra is now about 80 percent Muslim. The hills against which it banks are green and clean, but its streets are dirty, its odors noxious. For many residents, regular jobs are hard to come by, said Ashraf Mulani, 39, a former municipal councilor from Mumbra. Mulani, in Mumbra, a suburb of Bombay, Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003.
