(NYT106) KORAI, Iraq -- April 1, 2003 -- IRAQ-KURDS -- Shadows of local Iraqi Kurds are cast over a large crater caused by an Iraqi missile which landed in the village of Korai, northern Iraq, Tuesday, April 1, 2003. Just before dawn, Iraqi forces fired what seemed to be four missiles at the village which is just south of the Harir airbase where the 173rd Airborne Brigade is currently based. All the missiles missed military targets, this one landing about ten feet from a village home. There were no reports of inujries. (Ruth Fremson/ The New York Times)
