(NYT63) NEW YORK -- September 10, 2003 -- INSURE-CONFLICT -- The Federal appeals court in Manhattany on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, ordered a new trial to settle a 1987 dispute over tons of Colombian coffee that failed to arrive in New York. The court nullified a 1997 decision in the case because the presiding judge, Milton Pollack, belatedly disclosed that he and his wife and a trust that benefited her owned at least $250,000 in stock in one of half a dozen banks suing an insurer for reimbursement.
