(NYT45) NEW YORK -- Sept. 23, 2003 -- U.N.-DIPLO-SCENE-2 -- Employees of Miho Flowers waited to have their van cleared by the Secret Service so that they could make deliveries at the Millenium U.N. Plaza Hotel, across the street from the world bodyTuesday, Sept. 23, 2003. While great and weighty issues of international import are discussed across the street, the foreign leaders' presence in the city creates changes big, small and counter-intuitive for the equally international array of workers who must serve them and clean the rooms where the sleep and shower.
